It is widely recognized that today’s students require an entirely different sort of education. In designing the Templeton STEM we consulted closely with post secondaries and industry to align the program with current STEM career needs. Every year is another iteration and these partnerships continue!
SAP
SAP is an industry leader in data management software and provides program support and mentorship to our STEM students. They have been with our program since the beginning and provide amazing insights and opportunities for students interested in BC’s burgeoning tech sector.
BCIT
BCIT is a recognized leader in the province for its hands-on post-secondary programs, including degrees in civil, mechanical, and electrical engineering. We collaborate with BCIT in our curriculum design and they offer annual scholarships to Templeton STEM students.
VSB
The Vancouver School Board has been very supportive of our STEM initiative, providing technical support for projects, program support, student events, and professional development opportunities. As our program grows and develops, we continue to work closely with these educational leaders to provide the best possible experiences for our students.
B. C. Ministry of Education
The Ministry of Education has been a champion for our STEM program and continues to provide leadership and programming opportunities. As an exemplar of the new inquiry-based curriculum, Templeton STEM is part of the K-12 Innovation Partnership, a provincial initiative.
K-12 Innovation Partnership
Education stakeholders across the province are working together to transform BC's curriculum. Through the K-12 Innovation Partnership, government gives educators support support to develop new programs and innovate approaches to teaching and learning to help students and teachers succeed.
